  • Product Description
    ShrinkGard™ 2800 is a highly flexible, woven sleeve constructed of polyester and polyethylene that provides good abrasion resistance for rubber hoses and tubing applications. The product offers a shrinkage up to 60% which allows ShrinkGard 2800 to accommodate a variety of diameters and sizes. The soft construction of ShrinkGard 2800 is ideal when handling the product during installation.

    The heat-shrinkable design firmly grips to the component with a minimum shrink temperature of +80ºC and a minimum full recovery temperature of +110ºC.

    A treatment made on ShrinkGard 2800 keeps the ends of the sleeve stable after shrinkage.

    ShrinkGard 2800 can easily be cut with standard industrial cutting equipment and is used primarily in the automotive industry to protect rubber hoses.

    No visible degradation or alteration after being exposed to the following test cycles:

    • Immersion for 15s at 23°C, followed by a drying period of:
      • 24h at 150°C: motor oil, automatic transmission fluid, manual transmission oil.
      • 24h at 23°C: zinc chloride, brake fluid.

    • Immersion for 48h at 70°C, followed by a drying period of:
      • 24h at 23°C: Urea of clean up Ad blue.

    • Immersion for 24h:
      • At 40°C, followed by a drying period of 4h at 23°C: for gazole, unloaded petrol 98, Std fuel C + 15% methanol, E85 bio ethanol.
      • At 70°C, followed by a drying period of 4h at 23°C, for windscreen washer.
      • At 118°C, by a drying period of 4h at 23°C, for engine coolant.
